The last article I wrote was about my little bad kitty, but I mentioned in it that I had been tired, worn out, exhausted, etc.
Not knowing the reason was because I hadn't been paying attention to my health, I just thought I had done too much.
Anyway....................being so busy over the Holiday Season, I hadn't had my bloodwork done, then when I made an appointment to get it done, there was too much snow to drive there. So another delay.
I finally did go in, on Monday, the 13th, and on the 15th the lab called and said I needed to come in for more blood testing because there was a concern for my B12 and Folic Acid levels. I HATE needles and wasn't worried about missing *Vampire Appointments*.
So I'm sitting here thinking to myself, "why should that matter?" (Not taking into account my age and other meds I take).
Out of curiosity, I looked it up on my handy dandy computer, (it's so awesome how one can find any information under the sun)!
Only THIS wasn't awesome information, it was kind of scary information!
I take a certain medication for RA (rheumatoid arthritis) called Methotrexate, I take it because I hate needles and don't want one of the meds that are injected or by IV. But I also have to take Folic Acid to balance one of the effects. I take a Multi Vitamin/Mineral Supplement too, which is apparently not an adequate Vitamin B12 amount either (unfortunately).
Lack of both those supplements can cause many problems, one of them being Anemia, which leaves an individual tired, listless and/or depressed. I don't feel depressed, but I AM extremely tired all the time and feeling weak, so I guess that could explain the fatigue that has plagued me for about the last 3-4 months.
I have another app. on tuesday for more involved testing and I am hoping that it can all be worked out fairly quickly.
So all I have been doing lately is *ghosting around* on Newsvine, reading articles and seeds, voting and occasionally commenting, but not much else, (other than sleeping a lot)!
I wrote this just in case anyone has been wondering where I am. I'm still here and hopefully will soon feel much more like participating in all the sharing and fun, so don't forget me.
Like Ahnold says "A'll be bock!" LOL :-)
